St Matthew's Parish Masterton

Services

Styles of Sunday worship are both Traditional and Contemporary. The country churches and the 8am services use the liturgy from ANZPB (occasionally BCP at St Andrew's); Sung Evensong uses BCP on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 5pm. 10am and Youth use modern music and presentation, but the former still incorporates much of the Liturgy. The Organ with its many different voices, covers the full range of styles of worship.

During the 10am Service the crèche operates for babies and toddlers in the Reception Area with pre-schoolers in the Library, Children's Ark for older children in the Parish Hall. The Youth congregation have the CaF for activities and use the Parish Hall for their Worship Service on Friday evening. The Midweek (Traditional) Service starts at 10:30am on Thursday after Fellowship over a cup of tea at 10am. On the 2nd Thursday of each month, there is the St Matthew's Seniors Luncheon in the Parish Hall following the Mid-morning Service.
